At the summit, the statue El Cristo which marks a peace treaty between Argentina and Chile - it just passed its 100 year anniversary last year, and apparently the whole thing was originally led up the mountain in pieces on horseback.
Mat, Adri & James - the summit in the background is the Aconcagua, the highest mountain in the Americas standing at 6,962m. We are 40km away from it here so you can imagine just how immense it is.
We took a trip to a place called siete cascadas (seven waterfalls) - the views were amazing but the place was a bit touristy, but we managed to find a quiet part to relax in.
This is the view from the pier looking upstream, you can see the ferry just past the next pier. The water looks dirty but is actually really clean - its got a lot of sediment which gives it the brown colouration.
In December we visited El Tigre, a picturesque area south of Buenos Aires which comprises of a system of islands and rivers. We stayed at Gertys holiday home there - heres Adri standing next to it.
